Gospel for Asia Adds Coremetrics Search to Support New Marketing Initiatives

Nonprofit Expands Coremetrics Implementation to Optimize Investments in Paid Search

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 14, 2008 Coremetrics, the leading provider of digital marketing optimization solutions, today announced that Gospel for Asia (GFA) is expanding its Coremetrics implementation to include Coremetrics Search. The additional capability will increase return on investment in search marketing by automating keyword performance management and enabling the staff to implement intelligent bidding strategies that optimize spending for paid search terms.

GFA is a mission organization involved in evangelism and church planting in some of the neediest countries in the world. The organization focuses primarily on people living in the 10/40 Window, a rectangular shaped area of the globe extending from West Africa to East Asia, from 10 degrees north to 40 degrees north of the equator. GFA currently supports more than 16,500 native missionaries in their efforts at establishing local churches and sharing the Gospel with their countrymen.

The organization implemented Coremetrics online analytics in April 2007 to gain insight that would guide the staff in building site traffic, improving the user experience and increasing conversion rates. The solution has already enabled the staff to pinpoint navigational issues and, as a result, redesign the site to help increase sponsorships, donations and volunteerism. Moreover, Coremetrics reporting showed that email plays a much larger role in bringing traffic to the site. Coremetrics Search will build on these successes by providing visibility into the keywords that bring visitors to www.gfa.org and allow the staff to segment visitors based on which keywords they use and how they behave once on the site.

“We’re in an expansion phase right now, launching new ads and trying new ideas,” explained JD Smith, a web developer at GFA. “We need a best-practices approach to managing keywords and making bids automatically and intelligently. Coremetrics is providing the tools, best practices and support we need to be successful with our marketing initiatives. Niche keywords are particularly important to us. We can now drill down to see which ones are performing well, so we can make the right bid on the keywords that give us the highest return.”

“For nonprofits, getting maximum value for every dollar spent is vital,” said Jeff Schmidt, senior vice president of worldwide sales at Coremetrics. “Coremetrics is pleased to be working with Gospel for Asia to help optimize its Web site to attract engaged visitors, show them how they can participate in GFA’s mission and make it easy for them to take action. As the organization continues to make its site richer and more interactive with Web 2.0 technologies, Coremetrics will continue to provide capabilities that allow the staff to analyze and understand visitor interactions using AJAX pop-ups, widgets and other Web 2.0 tools.”
